Mangart pass
The Mangart Pass is the highest mountain road in Slovenia, with an elevation of 2055 meters above sea level. Located in the northwest of Triglav National Park, the pass is near the border with Italy. The highest point of the pass is sometimes closed due to avalanche danger or falling rocks. The pass is typically open from June to October, depending on the region’s snowfall. This mountain pass is best suited for adventurous travelers! At the top, you are rewarded with a stunning panoramic view. You can also choose to climb Mount Mangart (2679 meters).

Lake Bohinj
Lake Bohinj is the largest lake in Slovenia. This glacial lake has crystal-clear water and is surrounded by high mountains. Slap Peričnik
Slap Peričnik is a waterfall located in the beautiful Vrata Valley. The waterfall has a total height of 52 meters and is divided into two separate falls. What makes this waterfall unique is that you can hike behind it. The path to the waterfall is easy to climb, and there are plenty of spots to take pictures. Several hiking trails also lead to the falls. The one Gosoloslovenia recommends is the trail that leads to the second waterfall. The best time to visit for hiking is during the summer. During winter, there’s a chance to ice climb Slap Peričnik. The waterfall is located 2.5 kilometers from the small village of Mojstrana.
Slap Boka
Slap Boka is one of the largest waterfalls in Slovenia, with a total height of 106 meters. The first waterfall has a height of 30 meters, while the second and largest one is 76 meters tall. Compared to Slap Peričnik, this waterfall is harder to reach. The path that leads to it is narrow and steep, making the journey to visit this waterfall quite adventurous. The waterfall is located in the Soča Valley, where you can also enjoy activities like rafting, cliff jumping, and kayaking. The best time to visit is in the spring, when the snow melts and the waterfall is at its most powerful.

Hike the highest mountain in Slovenia!
Mt. Triglav is the highest mountain in Slovenia, with an elevation of 2864 meters. The name Triglav means “three heads,” referring to the three peaks of the mountain. The middle peak is the highest. Climbing Triglav usually takes three days, with overnight stays in mountain cabins. This climb is challenging, so be prepared! The best time to climb Mount Triglav is in summer, during June, July, and August. The starting points are the Aljaž Cabin and the Triglavski Dom.

The most famous waterfall in the Vintgar Gorge is the Šum Waterfall, which has a height of 13 meters. The gorge is usually open from April to October. The entrance fee is €28, which might seem expensive, but the gorge is worth every euro!
Tolmin gorge
The Tolmin Gorge is 1 kilometer long, with narrow and steep rock walls. It is located 12 kilometers from Bovec. The best time to visit this gorge is from June to August. There is a path that leads through the gorge, and the entrance fee is €10 during the summer.
